DISCORD & DISSIDENCE – the art of anxiety.                                

SelcouthCircl. presents a call for artist submissions to the Evening Gallery. The private space is an emerging platform that will be hosting a series of exhibitions and cultural events in the heart of Vancouver. Situated off of Arbutus and Broadway, the space aims to act as a cultural hub for artists and patrons alike. Exhibiting works by emerging and local artists, the Evening Gallery will offer a unique experience in the heart of Vancouver with it’s extended hours and lounge-like ambiance.

We invite artists to submit works under the broad canopy of Discord and Dissidence – contributing to the art of anxiety. Inspired by international leaders such as Ai Wei Wei, Yue Minjun, Kent Monkman, Laurence Paul Yuxweluptun, and the like, we are looking for provoking and engaging works that can contribute to, form and shape these dialogues.

All mediums accepted. Commission details will be discussed with each artist after the jury is concluded.

The exhibition will take place during the last week of November, opening reception Friday, November 22, 2019. Curation of the exhibition will be done by the creators of SelcouthCircl. AKB and Bojana Bozin.
